Is this renewal ready for automation?
Review eight controls before a workflow reads, writes, routes, or reports on a renewal. Your selections stay in this browser tab; the page sends no customer data.
This is an operating-control check, not a benchmark or prediction. A “ready” result still requires a small reversible pilot.
- 01
Stable renewal identity
A contract, subscription, order, or renewal record has a stable ID and the correct account association.
- 02
Authoritative dates
Renewal date and notice deadline have a named source and are not inferred from an internal close date.
- 03
Accepted owner
A named commercial or customer owner has accepted the next action and its due date.
- 04
Current customer evidence
Status is supported by a recent customer reply, meeting, order, quote, or other reviewable source.
- 05
Product and amount scope
Products, quantities, currency, recurring value, and term can be reconciled to the current commercial record.
- 06
Source conflicts resolved
CRM, billing, contract, and CS records either agree or carry a documented exception owner.
- 07
Automation boundaries
The workflow states what automation may read or write, who approves high-impact changes, and how to roll back.
- 08
Post-change verification
The team checks the next sync, report, task, forecast view, and downstream commercial record after a change.
8 controls need work
- Stable renewal identityLink the renewal to a stable commercial record and resolve duplicate account or subscription associations.
- Authoritative datesConfirm the renewal and notice dates against the approved contract, subscription, or billing source.
- Accepted ownerAssign an accountable owner, require acceptance, and set a dated next action.
- Current customer evidenceAttach current customer evidence or mark the status as unverified until the next customer interaction.
- Product and amount scopeReconcile product lines, quantity, currency, term, and recurring amount before updating forecast or retention.
- Source conflicts resolvedOpen a source-conflict exception with the competing values, authorities, owner, and close condition.
- Automation boundariesDefine read/write scope, human approval gates, audit evidence, and rollback before enabling automation.
- Post-change verificationAdd a post-change sample across CRM, billing, reporting, and owner task queues.
How to use the result
Run the check against one real renewal and require source evidence for every “yes.” Unknown is a useful outcome: it identifies where the team should stop automation and assign an evidence owner. The tool does not estimate churn, readiness probability, or financial impact.
A controlled pilot should preserve prior field values, limit write scope, use a representative cohort, document reviewer authority, and verify the next normal sync and reporting cycle. Re-run the check when source systems, fields, permissions, workflow logic, or ownership change.
